Mia Nakaji Monnier is a freelance journalist and essay writer specializing in art, science, and mixed-race identity. Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe; BuzzFeed; O, The Oprah Magazine; and more. She is also co-founder of The Blend at HelloGiggles and an alum of Guernica Magazine and bilingual Japanese American community newspaper The Rafu Shimpo.
